Pep Band Cheered on Colgate Hockey As They Faced Cornell
Nov. 15, 2015, 2:17 p.m.

The Colgate Pep Band just wrapped up a busy weekend!  On Friday, we traveled to Ithaca to cheer on the Colgate Men's Hockey team as they faced Cornell, our major athletic rival, on the storied ice of Lynah Rink.  Colgate unfortunately lost, but everyone had a great time (even though Cornell put us in the bottom corner of the rink, behind the glass divider).  We returned to pump up the crowd at last night's home game against Cornell, where we participated in the tradition of tossing Big Red chewing gum at the visiting team. The game was close, but Colgate ended up losing in overtime.  Even though the hockey team didn't do as well as we'd hoped, the weekend was one of the highlights of the semester!

2015 Band Camp a Success!
Aug. 30, 2015, 9:26 p.m.

As Humphrey Bogart once famously reminded us in the 1942 film Casablanca, "We'll always have band camp." Well, okay, he didn't quite say it that way, but regardless, the Colgate Pep Band's 2015 Band Camp Pre-Orientation program was a resounding success, and lots of great memories were made.  Band members participated in group cookouts, met our newest members, played games on Whitnall Field, and learned many new songs, which we look forward to sharing with the Colgate community very soon!  Our members agreed that this year's band camp was one of the best in recent memory.  Don't worry if you weren't able to make it; you can still sign up by filling out our recruitment form and contacting one of our officers!  You can also find our officers at Colgate's Activities Fair taking place on Friday, September 4th.  Look for us cheering on Raider Athletics in the coming weeks as we play at a variety of events, including Soccer and Football.  Thank you to all of our members and supporters who helped make this year's band camp productive, enjoyable, and memorable!
